Greetings, Shorelings! We’ve got a brief update today to talk about Castles by the Sea and an exciting new campaign. Let’s dive in:

Shipping Update

We’ve received a couple of questions about Australian shipments not being delivered. There was a mix-up at our fulfillment partner with our SKUs, but we’ve worked it out and shipments should be going out if you haven’t received yours yet! Otherwise, fulfillment on this project is complete around the world! For backers in any zone, If you have not received your order yet, or have any questions, please send an email to [email protected] and we will get back to you ASAP!

Castles was a Hit at Gen Con!

Castles by the Sea is a unique game. We're hard-pressed to think of another abstract spatial puzzler with as much theme and charm as this one has. And gamers at Gen Con agreed! Castles flew off the shelves there and our demo tables were constantly packed with players. Castles even got a coveted Best of Gen Con Award from Gaming Trend!

Dungeon Kart: from the designer of Castles by the Sea

We are in the last week of another Kickstarter campaign with Dungeon Kart, a racing game for 2-8 players set in the world of Boss Monster! Michael Xuereb, one of the co-designers of Castles by the Sea, is the lead designer for this all-new game. Dungeon Kart brings the best of arcade kart racing to the tabletop. 

Set your speed, plot your move, avoid pesky heroes and take out other Bosses with spells and abilities. It's kart racing mayhem at its finest! Our campaign has already unlocked an incredible 23 stretch goals. Backing is the best way to get the retail version early, or to get awesome Silver and Gold content designed especially for Kickstarter.  Head on over! 

Castles by the Sea UK/EU and Aus/NZ units shipping!

Greetings, backers! After an unusually long time spent on the water, we're happy to report that Castles by the Sea units have reached the UK/EU and Aus/NZ zones! We have the following updates for shipping in those regions:

•  AUS/NZ - Mailing is expected to begin this week. 
•  EU/UK - We anticipate mailing to begin next week. 

We can't wait for this gorgeous game to be in everyone's hands. Speaking of which, this really is one of the prettiest games we've ever produced. Take a look at these photos by Board Game Shot!

In the US, all backers should now have received their games. We've heard great feedback from people who are already building their sandcastles and defending their Shorelings. We encourage anyone who's enjoying it to rate the game on BoardGameGeek!

If you're in need of replacement parts, please visit our contact page to submit a request.  Our customer service manager is currently waiting for more stock to arrive before he can resume shipping out replacement parts, but he can assist in answering questions and gathering shipping addresses in the meantime!

Castles by the Sea fulfillment begins!

Greetings, backers!

We're pleased to report that Castles by the Sea games have begun to arrive at warehouses around the world. Fulfillment is beginning this week in the US and very soon in other parts of the world!

Here's our estimated schedule for fulfillment by zone:

US: All games have arrived and fulfillment begins tomorrow.

Asia: All games have arrived and fulfillment should begin within the next 2-3 weeks.

Canada: Product is en route from our US warehouse to our Canadian fulfillment partner. This process is expected to take 2-3 weeks, and fulfillment should begin soon after.

UK/EU: Product is en route still to the UK/EU zone. We're not quite ready to offer a shipping estimate yet for this zone but will hopefully know more soon.

Rest of World: Games have arrived in most locations, with fulfillment beginning tomorrow.

And as always, we promise not to sell this game in a particular zone until all orders have shipped in that zone. We're excited to bring Castles by the Sea to retail, but not until backers have their rewards.

We very excited to get this one out to you. The game looks gorgeous and the sandcastle-building is just so much fun! As games begin to arrive, we can't wait to see your photos on social media and hear about your experiences playing the game.

Locking Addresses on Monday, April 24th

Greetings all!

Castles by the Sea is on the water now. That means it's shipping from the factory to our fulfillment centers, and we expect fulfillment to begin in mid to late May! One thing to note is that we begin fulfillment in a zone as soon as the games arrive in that zone, and this typically results in one zone shipping before another. Additionally, we won't ship to retail in a zone until all Kickstarter orders have been shipped, but this can sometimes result in the game being on sale in one country before all orders have delivered in another. As always, we'll be urging our fulfillment partners to get the game out quickly but with care. These games are gorgeous and we want each arriving flawless to its final home!

Addresses Locking Next Week

On Monday, April 24th, you'll get an email from BackerKit asking you to lock down your address. This is your final chance to adjust your shipping address through BackerKit. So now is the time to make sure it's up to date! (If you end up moving unexpectedly, or discover an error in your address after that, you can still send us a direct message and we'll help you out manually.)

Whether you wish to adjust your address or not, we encourage you to log in to your Backerkit.com account and make sure that everything looks good on this campaign and any others you might be involved in. Sometimes BackerKit emails disappear into your spam, which can cause you to miss important updates.

Production Complete!

Hi all,

I'm pleased to report that production of Castles by the Sea is complete and games are now making their way onto boats to head to their various fulfillment locations. At the same time, we're currently shipping any non-Castles product ordered  in Backerkit to those same locations so that fulfillment can begin as soon as possible.

Getting product to the US fulfillment center typically takes about 4-6 weeks (loading, boat, unloading, truck, unloading again), so we'd guesstimate that US fulfillment will happen in early- to mid-May. Fulfillment in the other zones can happen before that or after that depending on how far they are from China. We always have a zone start fulfillment the moment they can; we don't wait for all zones to get product. This can result in some zones getting their games a few weeks before another zone, but this is entirely due to transit times overseas. We are committed to getting everyone's games to them as quickly as possible.

Locking Addresses

Now that we've got the fulfillment portion of the campaign looming, we'll be locking down addresses. You'll receive an email from Backerkit in the next week to 10 days asking you to finalize your shipping address. If you end up moving unexpectedly after that, you'll need to reach out to us personally to let us know.

We're excited to be getting this game into your hands, and as always, we will not sell the game in any zone until all orders in that zone that we have the right info for have been shipped.
